Lessons
1. As Christians, we hold our homes and property loosely because our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20, Hebrews 11:34, Lev. 25:23).
2. God’s economic system:
a. prevented hopeless generational poverty by giving all sold land back to its original family origin every 50 years (Lev. 25:8-17)
b. allowed for hard workers to increase their wealth by accumulating land that was poorly kept, but limited that potential by giving back that land every 50 years (Leviticus 25:8-17).
