1 Timothy 5:1,2 July 5/2020

Lessons

1. As it would be done in a healthy family, correction is to be done with patience and care to restore those who have sinned back to spiritual health. (2 Timothy 4:2)

2. Public figures like pastors and elders and public sins are corrected differently in the church community than laypeople and private sins. (James 3:1, Matthew 18, Galatians 2:11,14)

3. Sins within worship gatherings are corrected differently than those outside. (1 Corinthians 11, John 2)

4. Embraced sins are corrected differently than slip-ups. If they reject Christianity you are to treat them as a tax collector.
