Christ as our Example

1. Both history and prophecy point to secular people subscribing to the idea of God coming to earth with signs of power and demands of religious worship (Acts 14:8-13; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-9)

2. the agenda for God coming to the earth including:
A. Helping humanity understand more fully who God is in character: full of grace and truth (John 1:14,17)
B. To provide a substitute penalty for our sin (John 1:16; Romans 5:8)
C. To become the model for how we are to live on the earth toward God and others (Philippians 2:4, 1 John 2:6)
D. To become a help for Christians in times of temptation (Hebrews 4:15,16; Romans 6:12)
