Gender distinctions in the Bible

Lessons

1. Gender distinctions in the Bible are for the Christian family to be judged by, not the world. (1 Corinthians 5:12,13)

2. The Bible defines gender according to their reproductive anatomy. (Genesis 17:10-14, 1 Timothy 2:15)

3. It is a sin to embrace a deviation from the natural sexual ways male sand females were designed for. (Romans 1:24-28)

4. The temptation towards sin does not somehow connect one to that sin. (James 1:13-15, Hebrews 2:18)

5. Stronger temptations towards a particular sin (e.g. genetic) does not in any way excuse that sin, as all people are told to repent and deny themselves in place of following Jesus. (Luke 9:23, Mark 1:15)
