1. Christian debating can be a helpful tool in coming to grips with the true meaning of scripture truth (Acts 15:2,7)
2. Seasoned Christians are to lead newer Christians away from adding unnecessary items to the gospel of grace by faith in Jesus alone (e.g. Paul, Barnabas, and Peter correcting the new Jewish Christians – Acts 15:4-19)
3. A Jesus plus gospel puts trust in ceremonial type actions (e.g. circumcision, sabbath observance, baptism, communion, specific prayers, etc.) and not character change based entirely on one’s faith on Jesus (Acts 15:4-19 (Especially vs.11); Galatians 1:6-9, 3:1-14; 1Corinthians 15:1-4; 1 John 3:8-10).
